Afghan officials, Gen. Miller confer on spike in violence 


KABUL: General Scott Miller, the US and NATO commander in fghanistan, conferred on the country’s security conditions with the high Afghan security officials.
On Saturday, Miller met with Minister of Interior Affairs Masood Andarabi, Shah Mahmood Mia Khail Deputy Ministry of Defense, Afghan Army Chief General Yasin Zia, and Director of National Directorate of Security (NDS) General Zia Saraj. 
Miller tweeted on his Twitter handle, saying both sides evaluated the security conditions and discussed the Taliban’s increasing violence.
Cooperation among the security forces aimed at paving the ground for peace and stability was also discussed. 
This comes as violence in Afghanistan has significantly increased despite the launch of intra-Afghan talks.
