KABUL: In a persistent push of Pakistan to link the Kashmir issue with Afghan peace, the country’s Foreign Minister Mahmod Quraishi has once again warned that India’s surgical attacks on the Pakistani territory could harm the ongoing Afghan peace process.

Speaking to a conference in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, Quraishi said India attempted to shift the word’s attention from the Kashmir crisis by attacking Pakistan. However, he did not provide details about India’s plans.

He said if in case India launched attacks against Pakistan, the Afghan peace process would be disrupted.

India and the Afghan government haven’t commented on Quraishi’s statement so far.

Intra-Afghan talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government started on September 12 in Qatari capital Doha. Pakistan claims credit for persuading the insurgents to sit on the negotiating table with the republican’s team.
