Taliban rebels directed to deny credit for attacks: NDS

KABUL: Afghan intelligence agency alleges that Quetta Shura of the Taliban has directed the insurgent group’s fighters to carry out terrorist attacks in public areas but avoid claiming responsibility.

A statement released by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Sunday assured Afghan people that they would identify the Taliban’s shelters in Kabul city and arrest or attack them.

“Taliban fighters have been told to conduct terrorist attacks in public places and refrain from taking credit for such attacks,” the statement said.

According to the statement, a group of Taliban mine planters who were operating in Kabul city had recently been arrested by the security forces.
