KABUL: A peace rally organized by the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) on Friday sought an immediate end to Afghanistan’s long-lasting war.
At a huge gathering in Balochistan’s town of Chaman, participants called for an end to the Afghan conflict.
Thousands of people attending the Pashtun long march also urged an immediate end to extrajudicial killings in Pakistan.
The head of the rights-based alliance, Manzoor Pashteen, once again enquired the state to endorse an end to extrajudicial killings.
He asked the rulers to avoid good and bad-Taliban policy, produce the missing people in courts and end extrajudicial killings.
Mohsin Dawar, one of the leaders of PTM and a member of the Pakistani National Assembly, appreciated the gathering stating, “Congratulations and well done PTM chairman for such a successful rally. PTM is a reality that cannot be wished away.”
The lawmaker said the striking rally was a public referendum for justice for the victims of terrorism.
