Abdullah, Sayyaf exchange views on Afghan peace

KABUL: Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) Abdullah Abdullah conferred on peace negotiations with the Jihadi leader Abdurrab Rasul Sayaf and former president Hamid Karzai on Thursday. 


 On his Twitter handle, Abdullah stated that “Today, I had a constructive meeting with the former president HE @KarzaiH, and the Jihadi leader HE Professor Abdurrab Rasul Sayaf.”


 According to him, the peace process, the latest developments in the country and the progress in Doha talks were tabled for discussion.


The discussion comes after a series of visits Abdullah made to several provinces, including Herat province, where he exchanged views with local officials and civil society representatives.
