Taliban allow food assistance to 684 families in Zabul

KANDAHAR: The Taliban allowed edible items distribution to hundreds of needy families in southern Zabul province on Saturday. 


In a statement, the group said it distributed food items to 684 families suffering from poverty in the Atghar district of Zabul. 


The aid included two sacks of flour, 10 liters of oil, 17 kilograms of pulses, two kilograms of salt, a carton of biscuit, and some children’s nutrition items. 


The group said the aid was provided by the Islamic Emirate’s commission for regulating companies under the auspices of the World Food Program.
