KABUL: Four members of the Afghan negotiating team in Qatar have returned home, apparently citing personal issues.

On Tuesday, reports quoting unnamed sources said the four members included Sadat Mansoor Naderi, Fawzia Koofi, Matin Beg and Kalimullah Naqibi.

These negotiating team members return as no tangible advances have so far been made in the ongoing intra-Afghan peace talks that started on September 12 in Doha.

On the other hand, violence and bloodshed have recently escalated across the country, causing a huge number of casualties on both sides of the conflict, as well as civilians.

This comes as the war-ravaged Afghan public holds almost daily gatherings, urging warring parties to cease violence and reach an agreement on peace.
