Cyclists set off on a journey with message of peace


Nangarhar: A cycling competition has been launched in eastern Nangarhar province to convey a message of peace, brotherhood, love and unity.

At least 120 athletes coming from 16 provinces have taken part in the event organized by the Afghanistan Cycling Federation.

The federation said the race titled ‘Peace and Reconciliation’ started from Nangarhar and cyclists would paddle about 390 kilometers in four days while crossing through four provinces.

Officials at the federation said the aim of the competition was to spread the message of peace, brotherhood, love and unity besides promoting health awareness.
