Kandahar businesswoman creates jobs for women


KANDAHAR: An Afghan businesswoman has been running an all women’s company for the past four years, facilitating her employees with an income to meet their financial expenses.
Saqi Jan started the business with 400,000 AFN worth of investment, producing the best shampoos, soaps, and washbasins. 
Her company now employs 15 women, and she says they’re happy to have jobs because their wages help feed their families. Saqi Jan said she could not expand her business due to financial problems.
Although its workers do not earn a lot, according to them, it helps them overcome their financial struggles. These women believe working is essential to the country’s economic prosperity and growth.
