Mariam Solaimankhil


Mariam Solaimankhil was voted into Afghanistan’s Parliament in 2018 as one of the three female representatives from the Kuchi Nomad tribe. Previously, she worked as the Director of International relations for the office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. She also was a Senior Advisor on International Relations to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. Miss Solaimankhil has been an avid voice for human rights and women’s rights.She was deputy speaker of the refugee kuchi disabled and martyrs commission at the Afghan lower house. In addition, she was the head of the secretariat for the defense commission of the house of representatives.
