Pakistan Refuses Providing US With Military Base


In a recent interview with HBO Axios, the Pakistani Prime Minister clarified Pakistan’s stance on whether or not it will be hosting US military bases after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has refused to agree with providing military space to US, responding with “Absolutely not”. According to him, “There is no way we are going to allow any bases or any sort of action from Pakistani territory into Afghanistan. Absolutely not.”

The United States is currently talking with Afghanistan’s neighbor countries, including Pakistan, for potential US bases that would monitor the Afghan conflict upon withdrawal.
