KABUL: Pakistan has encouraged Afghan officials to work together to find a political solution for ending the decades-long war in Afghanistan.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the next six months would be important for Afghanistan as the situation in the country may deteriorate and go out of control.

In a statement, Qureshi warned Afghans would suffer more in case of a situation similar to that of 1990s or outbreak of civil wars in the country.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have a clear agreement that neither would allow their soils to be used against each other or by a third party, he said.
