Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi harshly reacted to recent remarks by Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib and said it will harm the efforts to forge peace talks with the Taliban.
Mohib accused the Pakistani military of supporting the Taliban and compared Pakistan to a “brothel”.
“My blood has been boiling ever since you compared Pakistan to a brothel house. You should be ashamed of yourself and must reform your conduct,” Qureshi said.
Pakistani foreign ministry announced Pakistan had discontinued official ties with Hamdullah Mohib, but NSA Mohib rejected such allegations and stated there was no formal notification from Pakistan in this regard.
According to the VOA report, Pakistan has stated to Afghanistan’s leaders that because of its recent comments against Pakistan it will no longer engage in official dealings with Mohib.
