Zalmay Khalilzad and American delegation travel to Afghanistan, Qatar and the Region

According to U.S Department of State ambassador Khalilzad and U.S. delegation including National Security Council, Department of Defense, and USAID departed on June 4 for travel to Kabul, Doha, and the region.

The mission is slated to convene and share its views on the peace process with Afghan officers, political leaders, and members of civil society, including women’s groups.

The meetings will include highlighting lasting support for the development and a political solution that will end the war, Zalmay Khalilzad, a special envoy, will also convince the parties concerned to make significant progress towards a political resolution that would protect gains of the previous two decades in Afghanistan.

Ambassador Khalilzad will also travel to others countries to discuss the Afghanistan peace process and the possibilities for enhanced regional trade, trade, and development to promote peace in Afghanistan.
