KABUL: Peace Proposals Unification Committee has announced the finalization of a joint peace plan after weeks of consultations with figures engaged in the matter, a member of the body said on Wednesday.
Atta Muhammad Noor, chairman for Jamiat Islami party on Wednesday in a Facebook post said that: Peace Proposals Unification Committee submitted its peace plan to the High Council of National Reconciliation after weeks of discussions on the issue.
Over 30 proposals for peace have so far received by the committee that would unify them into a single peace plan.
The committee initiated by the government is chaired by Mohammad Younus Qanoni and comprised of relevant government institutes, representatives from political parties, and other Afghan politicians.
The government says that it would present the peace plan at the Turkey conference on Afghan peace expected to hold in the near future.
