KABUL: Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has accused the Taliban insurgents of causing “One Billion Dollars” damage to infrastructure in Afghanistan.
Speaking at a ceremony in the Presidential Palace on Tuesday morning, President Ghani underlined that “Taliban’s actions have caused one billion Dollars’ worth of damage to Afghanistan’s infrastructure.”
Ghani also stated that “with the honorable withdrawal of international troops from Afghanistan, a chapter in our international relations ends, and a new chapter in our international cooperation begins.”
On the other hand, Taliban rejected Ghani’s remarks. The group’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid said that their fight “has not harmed Afghanistan’s infrastructure” and blamed damages caused by “US aggression.”
