BALKH: Youth and civil activists from northern Balkh province on Friday grumbled many people in the country lacked the required information regarding the peace process and the Doha negotiations.
They participated in a discourse called ‘Importance of Youth Mobilization for Peace Process’ organized by Mediothek Afghanistan.
Suleiman Qayyumi, a member of the Youth High Council from the Balkh Province, believed that most young people in the country had no belief or hope for the peace process.
The lack of presence of the young people in the peace process was another issue pointed out by Qayyumi, saying that young people should be more involved.
The symposium participants urged the negotiating sides to share more information about the progress of the peace process with the general public so that they had a clue where the nation was heading
