KABUL: A veteran’s advocacy group called on the Biden Administration to entirely remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan and continue giving veterans access to private health care.
A statement shared by the group on Tuesday said Senior Advisor Dan Caldwell told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the organization recently asked the Biden transition team to “end our endless wars” and completely withdraw from Afghanistan.
According to a poll by Worried Veterans for America, two-thirds of veterans say they favor the removal of troops from Afghanistan. Nearly 70 percent of surveyed veterans said they tend to a complete withdrawal from Iraq.
This is while Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor, reported that the U.S. was still taking a close look at how the Taliban were complying with the US-Taliban Doha peace deal and might not withdraw from the country by May 2021.
