Will make peace with Taliban if violence is ceased: Mohaqiq


 BALKH: Speaking at the commemoration of his son’s death anniversary, Former Vice President Mohammad Mohaqiq has stressed the need for halting war and conflicts in the country
Addressing the gathering in Mazar-e-Sharif city, the capital of Balkh province, on Sunday, he called the Taliban as incompetent brothers. 
The Afghan People’s Islamic Party leader said, “We will make peace with our incompetent brothers (Taliban), only if they stop fighting.”
Also a member of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Mohaqiq said that the Afghan-Taliban peace negotiating team must achieve an acceptable outcome for the Afghan people.
Mohaqiq, who has recently been appointed as the Senior Advisor to the President on Security and Political Affairs, expressed support to the republican system, stressing it should be upheld during the peace talks.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Mohaqiq, in another ceremony in Sheberghan city, also asked the Taliban to stop the war and bloodshed.
